Echoing the request to lower the timer to 1-2 minutes. I usually check this site twice a day and reply to whatever thread got bumped, but now multiple threads get bumped when i check and its a pain having to wait for the timer to reply to each one. Please consider lowering it.

>>1033I don't have dyslexia, so it doesn't take me 5 minutes to write 3 sentences. How do you envision people doing pic dumps with a 5 min wait between each upload?
>>1031 is the dumbest shit, because it's so patronising it makes me wanna hurl. Is this site a place for gradeschoolers or an image board for adults?
No.1036
>>1035Sorry, I wasn't thinking about image dumps. Usually I write posts that need to be split into multiple entries because they go on for too many paragraphs. The site wasn't generally used for dumping since it was slow and focused on long discussion, our culture was to make the most of every post and avoid confrontational language when debating by considering either viewpoint.
Now can you stop insulting me?

>>1036>Usually I write posts that need to be split into multiple entries because they go on for too many paragraphs.NAYRT and I'm not trying to start a fight (this is my first post on the topic and I don't really care what they do with the timer), but out of curiosity, don't you ever get annoyed with the cooldown for that very reason? Sometimes, I write long posts, and I usually don't realize they need to be broken up into multiple parts until after I've typed the whole thing out, proofread it, hit "submit," and gotten the "post too long" message. Then, I feel rushed to get the second half of my post out there. Actually, I would think that would be an argument in favor of lowering the timer.
I do use a VPN to circumvent this issue, but I don't think I've ever spammed or done anything annoying, aside from excessively rambling about a couple of specific topics in their designated threads.>The site wasn't generally used for dumping since it was slow and focused on long discussionI do agree with this, though. One thing I really liked about this site when I found it was how much effort went into all the posts. I like how insightful other nonas are, even when I don't have much to contribute. I wish the board were a little faster, but only because I like reading what people have to say.

Would a captcha on posts help prevent bot spam?
No.1197
>>1189Bot spam yeah, but the ped0 link spammers are humans. They're for-hire and not SUPER persistent but they'll solve anything up to an including character/hobby based captchas, so long as it's google-able.

So I got the error message "Flood detected; Post discarded. Wait 5 mminutes before your next post" and saw the typo in "minutes" and I thought it was funny, I kinda like it because even though it's an automated error message, it has that handtyped feel to it with the typo. Hey I accidentally uploaded a PDF and the site let me actually upload, no warnings or "you can't post x file" to prevent it from posting.
It is a my bad on my part, especially because it had sensitive info in it, but it's also a security issue that has affected boards like 4chan before when they allowed pdf. It's huge security flaw and it can affect here.

Why is there a Monster Girl whatever thread on /ot/ filled with a bunch of links to gross moid porn? It’s apparently meant to be a “general” vn board but the general anime isn’t filled with hentai discussion so it’s just weird. Also links and discussion about shota nsfw are against the rules?

Speaking of ot, why is there a thread of someone asking for relationship advice there? Shouldn't that go in the general fujo advice thread or something? I know ot is for anything but I don't want the board to get spammed with relationship venting posts.
