Now most of them sound like a summary of tiktok posts.There was some discussion about this a while ago in one of the fic threads, but the tl;dr was that back in The Day most writers also read books. Now writers either don't read, or what they do read is just fanfic or "Ao3 house style" romantasy. Also, we now have young adults that had ~5 years of covid derailing their education/development entering fandom spaces.
