>>970>women like LuteYou mean a mega bitch that's completely unapologetic to it? I also think that there is a sore lack of self-aware villains of the apathetic-asshole-having-fun variety instead of the jaded-and-traumatized variety.
By "self-aware" I mean the type that knows they are evil and don't even try to make excuses, not even trying to call themselves a necessary evil or anything. I'm talking about about the ones that go the extra mile. Is it so much to ask for an irredeemable villain that actually has fun while kicking puppies and eating babies?

ngl i could see some potential with them as a ship due to how much of a contrast their personalities have initially and i'll look at their fanart when i'm in the mood for something sweet but they ultimately don't appeal to me together that much either

>>1170>It's weird because the show is trying to shove Angel and Husk in your face as the gay couple but I don't know a single fujo who prefers the two togetherPretty much. For me personally my fujo radar isn't going off for them and I genuinely think they're fine as just friends.
No.1176
>>1173I read a fic a while back that did something interesting with the design and had Husk be bitter about the fact that he no longer had fingers and just had claws. He was angry dealing cards and opening bottles was hard and when he first got to hell it took him a while to learn to do basic things. I kind of wish more Hazbin fics focused on the characters adjusting to their new bodies or even just mentioned the weird features at all.
>>1175>>1171I agree they're supposed to be safe but incidentally, given all of Angel's abuse it's kind of fucked up that the moment he gets out of one relationship he runs into another one. It reminds me of the BL trope where the character is raped and he asks another character to have sex with him to forget the rapist. Weird, I think the most non-problematic solution would actually be to have Angel end up alone and define himself as a person not a sexual object or partner at least for a season before jumping into a relationship. Ignoring all that boring stuff though and just focusing on shippy potential the parallels with selling souls is there and I see where the foundation of a great ship could be but the characters didn't interact enough before ship teasing for me to care personally. They needed at least a few more episodes of potentially cute moments before "Loser Baby" imo, I'm hoping Husk has more screentime in general for the second season since he, out of all the main cast, feels the least developed.
No.1256
>>1254Tooth-gaps are cute so I like the design, but I have no strong opinion until I actually see him in the show. I'm hoping we get more episodes focusing on Heaven in the next season, especially since Pentious is up there now.
My fan theory is that Adam is going to be down in hell for the second season so maybe Abel is trying to get him back in some capacity or would serve as a mole from heaven for him. I presume if Cain is in the show he'd be in Hell so alternatively maybe Abel hates his family and will be a more positive supporting character.
No.1260
>>1254Super cute. Scratches my family centric drama angle perfectly.
>>1256Now I wonder if Cain looks like darker, thin version of Adam. I wonder which incest ship will be more popular horizontal or vertical after season 2 release.

>>1254fucking adorable, and
he's going to be voiced by Patrick Stump. Fall Out Boy is great and there's no way they don't have him singing at some point. I'm really excited to see what they do with him.
I hope he ends up being as much of a snarky douchebag as Adam was, it'd be boring if he ended up being as polite as he looks.
No.1417
>>1416I was struggling to ship these two in the first season, but the flashback before this song with Vox clearly being romantically attracted to him opened my eyes a bit.
No.1419
>>1418Honestly there seems to be some self-consciousness at play during the "break up." Alastor this season comes off as not as cocky, I don't know if I'd say he is actually threatened by Vox in that moment and is putting on a show, as much as he's offended by the mere idea of people getting closer.
Vox is absolutely scorned lover material. My crackpot prediction is that he going to be redeemed by the end of the season, or at the very least end up weakened and in need of the hotel. I don't feel like he would have been as passively portrayed in the past scene if they didn't have plans to try to redeem him. Maybe
given he wants to take over heaven they'll have him join under false pretenses only to actually get a redemption arc.
No.1420
>>1417I get it though for me 'Stayed gone' was a banger that really sold me on the toxic yaoi they had going on. I know Alastor had a similar thing with Lucifer and 'Hell's greatest dad' but that didn't hit the same cause it was more about Charlie.
No.1422
>>1421I mean…
How else would a cute tanned boy get ahead among the jetset in 1920's New Orleans?
They'll want to know what that cute voice sounds like off of the air, do you think they'd be kind or harsh about it? Absolute bullies who make him get onto his knees on a hard, wooden floor? Or the kind to gently seduce him into false safety with a glass of champagne, and a fancy hotel room?
No.1423
>>1422Both. Seduction at first and then bullying at the first misstep.
No.1424
>>1422>>1423I imagine all three would have a different approach. The shorter guy simply pumps and dumps Alastor, usually requiring a blowjob and handjob. The taller muscular blond guy is more considerate, taking Al to fancy restaurants and hotels and fucking him, making Al scream for everyone to hear. But the tall, glasses guy would probably be the one to break Alastor. He made him do the most humiliating and degrading things until he was a broken mess

Sooo… how are we feeling after the finale?
No.1435
>>1434It was okay. The animation was beautiful, especially during the action sequences and the songs were nice but so much of Vox's plan were dependant on literally everyone else acting like braindead retards, especially in the scene where he traps
Lucifer in a fucking jar. I also don't like how its revealed that in life he was a
weatherman that rose up in the ranks of a news network by murdering everyone in his way rather than the cult leader backstory they gave in the promotional materials. I also really didn't like how they kind of woobified Valentino considering he stills owns and regularly rapes and pimps out Angeldust. That being said it's been fun watching Alastor yumes seethe and I hope we get some nice in-character doujins and fanfics from this season.
No.1436
>>1435>so much of Vox's plan were dependant on literally everyone else acting like braindead retardsYeah. It has the same energy as the evil plan in Helluva boss being entirely based on one guy catching a live trial on tv at just the right time. I'm also not sure how to feel about
the solution to the exploding weapon being that everyone has the inexplicable power to lift it up and…just make it go away for some reason??? No.1438
>>1437Very much like
>>1435. It feels like Vox's backstory was changed late in production, but not late enough to completely fuck the animation over, so it still 'worked' and did so much better than, say, Voltron.
I did like that they kept the 'Valentino is still a dick to Angel' because villains are villains, and villains are multi-faceted.
I love how Alastor was acting just like a demon of old. He has vibes of 19th century stories about demons and folklore, more specifically the Brother Rabbit stories, which suit his location, backstory, and the way he works, "Vulnerable creature gets by using his wits".
The Alastor / Vox fight was amazing, and it made my dirty shipper heart happy.
I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see more of the StaticRadio backstory, since Alastor seemed to genuinely like Vox, but I'm also more than pleased with the ending we got, where
'Brighter' revealed that every single time he asked for trust while alive, he betrayed that.It feels like Alastor has more going on than we're allowed to see, likely playing in with the deer symbolism. IDK if he'll ever get redeemed, but a girl can hope. It feels like Vox might be, given the
'Do you think I could be redeemed' line. No.1440
>>1434Was ok, I feel the same way as last season where everything is just so rushed. I don't know why they didn't get a longer season to pace stuff better. Stuff like Lute and Abel in particular just didn't feel like it got enough of a payoff.
Really liked Vox this season. I thought his retconned backstory was ok, even though it's a bit goofy
seriously it's fine for a song, but imagine leaving a trail of bodies like that IRL, the scene during the song where the
television falls on his head was really cool and I like how it paralleled the "antlers" in Alastor's flashback scene.
No.1441
So how do you think Vox found out that Alastor doesn't have a tail?
No.1447
>>1441Probably pulled his coat up I’m guessing.
No.1498
>>1469Based, Vox is the best.
On the note of Vox, I actually really hope they don't try to redeem him. I love that he's unapologetically evil while also having qualities that make him sympathetic and easy to like. I want him to remain evil but also work through some of his issues, such as his obsession with Alastor and reconciling with the Vees, to me that's more compelling than a redemption arc. Plus I don't really trust the writers to do a redemption arc for him that doesn't feel forced.
No.1499
>>1498I agree. He's my favourite villain of the verse so far though admittedly the bar is extremely low.
No.1509
>>1508It's honestly hilarious how these kids throw such a fit over Valentino being a rapist. The show takes place in Hell, of course there's going to be fucked up evil characters, and these characters can still be entertaining even if they are horrible people. Hell, them being horrible is a part of the fun.
Kudos to Viv for not portraying Val as cartoonishly evil like she did with Stella in Helluva Boss. He has depth beyond just "evil pimp rapist", he genuinely appreciates the Vees and is in love with Vox. Abusers like Val often have charms that attract victims to them in real life too, they don't just think about rape 24/7. These kids genuinely want evil characters to be written in the most black and white obvious way with zero redeeming qualities so that children can watch it and be fully aware they're bad, nevermind that Hazbin Hotel is not for children to begin with.
No.1510
>>1509I do think to some extent it's Viv's own fault for cultivating this fanbase. Why is some previously-human guy from florida more of an embodiment of lust as a sin than the actual demon Asmodeus who basically drops a consent PSA onto the viewer?
