>>1131I was thinking about making a thread for Arcane earlier after finishing Act 3 kek.
>What did you think of Season 2?Downgrade from the first season for sure, took on way too many subplots and would've benefited from having another season. Still watched everything though. The Jayvik scene in the last episode was gay as fuck which made my fujo heart very happy.
>Favorite character?Viktor and Jinx
>Any storyline/plot you liked? One you hated?I liked where they were going with dictator Caitlyn at first but they didn't let it simmer long enough so the 180 she did within three episodes was very jarring, could've been really good if executed better. The Ambessa/Mel stuff was a snoozefest to me, I think it just wasted a bunch of time that could've went to the other characters.
>Any champion you want to see next in the series?ShenZed Ionia series for more food.
>Favorite ship?JayVik of course.
>Are you excited for the future projects Riot has for this series? If they don't fumble as badly as they did with season 2, yes. Heard they have a live action in the works though so I'm not looking forward to that since Fortiche's animation blows everything out of the water.

>>1133honestly personally I found the caitvi pandering kind of tasteless, if not pretty shallow desu it makes me appreciate the absolute kino of jayvik a bit more even if not actually canon lovers.

>>1133I get you anon, I really do. But what we should take in consideration here is that Caitvi, as fucking boring it is, is a really, really old ship. Well, just like Jayvik but here's the kicker: it's lesbian. And everyone knows that lesbian ships are the safe gay because it can be very easily censored and men just love to watch two women going at it. I would be happy for the shippers if these two weren't so fucking boring, and if the shippers weren't so mentally ill that they shit their pants over anyone saying Jayvik had a better and more intimate scene than that forced music clip sex Caitvi had. And that ape they call producer going "hur uurh uuh why can't male be friends" really got on my nerves. But at the same time, i'm glad Jayvik is so big and popular. It deserves it. It's SO beautifully written, and as i'm writing this now i'm listening to their soundtrack (I Promissed You).
I hope that, in the future if when we see Viktor again, Jayce is with him. It's funny how it would make no sense canonically if he were to be alone. These two are connected in so many ways, their love is beautiful.
No.1143
>>1133>(calm down.)Sorry, I wrote that right after I finished watching the last episode. Don't worry, I normal again.
>>1131>What did you think of Season 2?It escalated too much. Remember when Arcane was about family drama and some political instability? Now it has a multiverse, time powers, and grand fights for the fate of the world.
>Favorite character?I'd like to give a special mention to the fish enforcer. I'm sure that's someone's OC, judging by how much he appears in full focus despite having no lines or plot relevance.
>Any storyline/plot you liked? One you hated?I liked the AU where everything is fine and people are happy (except for Vi who's dead). After this huge Marvelesque season 2, I'd appreciate a comfy SoL season 3 set on that AU, where nothing bad happens and people just chill and nobody has a mental breakdown on every ep. I have faith that even without hex-tech Viktor and Jayce will still be gay for each other.
>Any champion you want to see next in the series?I had to pull up a list of LoL champions because I honestly know nothing about the game, and I think I stumbled on a spoiler for S3:
https://wiki.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/Orianna<Once a curious girl of flesh and blood, Orianna is now a technological marvel comprised entirely of clockwork. She became gravely ill after an accident in the lower districts of Zaun, and her failing body had to be replaced with exquisite artifice, piece by piece. Accompanied by an extraordinary brass sphere she built for companionship and protection, Orianna is now free to explore the wonders of Piltover, and beyond.
I'll go ahead and bet that this will be the daughter the doctor was trying to save. Now that Jayce didn't kill Viktor, he will help the doctor resurrect her into one of those mechanical ninja bodies he made. The brass sphere might be the doctor himself, I dunno, maybe bringing her back will cost him his soul or something, and they will exist together in a mindspace like Viktor and Ms. Young, and the sickos watching it will ship the fuck out of that incestuous relationship like they did with Jynx and Silko.
>Favorite ship?Ahem:
>>1133>Are you excited for the future projects Riot has for this series? Not really, to be honest… After S2, it looks like this is going to be one of those series that keeps upping the stakes ad absurdum. That's why I suggested a more relaxed S3, but I doubt such a radical change would sit well with fans - at best it would be considered a spin-off.
>>1134Agreed. Now that I calmed down, I think JayVik is much finer romance than CaitVi. At least romance without sex in canon can be fixed by fic writers. Sex without romance cannot because I wouldn't even look for fics in the first place.

(Oops, I knew I was forgetting to reply to something.)
>>1142>And that ape they call producer going "hur uurh uuh why can't male be friends" really got on my nerves.God dammit, that always pisses me off to no end because it's only said against yaoi headcanons. It's okay to make up hetero ships, it's okay to even make up lesbian ships, but the moment you steal your brother's action figures to make them kiss it's always "wHy CAn'T MALes JuST bE FrIenDs". Ugh.
>It's funny how it would make no sense canonically if he were to be alone.Yes, that's the best part. They locked themselves into always writing them together because the laws of the multiverse say that's how it has to be.
No.1145
>>1142Why is this so common anyway? If people don't care about gay why do they always give the gay relationships so much fucking depth, drama and proper development?
I swear read manga that are the same. The almost-but-not-really canon gay couple is so fucking developed they acted like married couple with all the domestic shit it involves but then got a drama development arc regardless that eventually turned their love into a romance transcending everything material. It was partly painful and the end is bittersweet but goddamn this is how you do romances.
Meanwhile the canon het pairings in the same series are reduced to "we are engaged" and "waifu blushes". That's it. There is nothing else, not even hugging, let alone any syncing or emotional bond outside of "we're together because I have a penis and she has a vagina". No lead up either, the girls loved the dudes the moment they met them. Wow how interesting.
I don't get it. It sometimes make me wonder if a lot of people writing shit like this are closet homos or bi and project their deepest longings and dreams onto this ships because "not gay" and then deny them anyway if you ask them.

Wasn't originally into it, but this fic (
https://archiveofourown.org/works/35789221) redpilled me on Jayce/Viktor. So good gawddddd. Also season 2 really solidified their relationship.
>What did you think of Season 2?Similar to general opinion, too convoluted and tried to bring too much in. Had some good moments. Felt like many of the deaths were unnecessary/just for drama.
>Favorite character?I have a love/hate relationship with Jinx and I really liked Isha and Hemindinger. The character writing is very good in Arcane so I pretty much like every main character.
>Any storyline/plot you liked? One you hated?Controversially (at least on here) I enjoyed Cat/Vi a lot (still better in first season) and Powder/Ekko. Well, finally picked it up after ages of ignorance. Turned out, the series gets great right after I stopped (think it was episode 3). Now I understand the hype, it's a genuinely great watch and something I "marathoned" in two sittings which says a lot. Most characters are good too and saying this as someone that almost never likes female characters in fiction.
>What did you think of Season 2?Think it was just as great s1 with the exception of the last few episodes. Seemed like it just had everybody fighting for the sake of it because that's how showdowns should be but it was the first and only battle that bored me and I felt like some characters acted a bit ooc there.
>Favorite character?Viktor, Jinx and Ambessa.
>Any storyline/plot you liked? One you hated?JayVik's subplot, Jinx's storyline and basically what
>>1132 said about Cait. Disliked the end fight and Mel's development was lame IMO. Would have been more interesting if the brother was actually alive after all.

No.1252
>>1251YAY, fellow jayvik and vijinx appreciator! Not trying to yuripost outside of /ot/ but damn, Vi and Jinx had a beautiful dynamic. It's a shame that most fans are normies who think that there's nothing wrong with 3k+ fics of Viktor being a troon, but everything wrong with a little fictional incest (jayvik is still my otp though, I just wish the fandom wasn't as annoying as it is lol)
Who do you think is the more dominant one between Jayce and Viktor nona? I keep seeing dom Viktor fanfiction, but in my opinion he's more of a sub, he only acted dom at his most insecure. I do understand the power bottom appeal though, it fits his old unemotional villain lore
No.1257
>>1253>It was my OTP during S1 but it swapped places with Jayvik now Same. To be fair, the writers did tone down Jinx's sisconism in s2 which is a shame, and in general I feel like the storylines surrounding Vi, Jinx and Cait could have been handled much better. I'm not complaining about the beautiful space yaoi they gave us instead though
>At their healthiest, they're very much equals and synergistic, and sex-wise would likely be disgustingly vanilla. You're right. [spoiler]Do you have any fic recs for that kind of dynamic? >Do you have any fic recs for that kind of dynamic?Sadly no. I'll check out the one you mentioned though. Not sure if I'm just really picky now but the quality of Jayvik fanfics tend to be on the lower end? Even the ones with lots of kudos don't interest me much. PWPs were never the pinnacle of writing but the ones I come across are extremely generic even for one shot standards.
Though I highly recommend "Four Million Miles from Here", not only because it was written by an anon (not from here) but the characterization and writing itself is amazing.

> Not sure if I'm just really picky now but the quality of Jayvik fanfics tend to be on the lower end?In my experience, it's always like this in big fandoms. >Any storyline/plot you liked? One you hated?Caitlyn and Viktor's arcs had potential on paper, but were too rushed to be satisfying. Mel and the Black Rose should have never been included, and Vanderwick's "arc" was a dreadful waste of time. At least I got to enjoy some Jayce ryona.
