>>9648I don't play Epic Seven anymore, but lately I've been tuning into some streams just to see how the game has changed, and man, what the fuck happened? I remember when certain units used to dominate for years despite counters being released and new ML5s. Now it seems like new ML5s will constantly get overshadowed in just a few months.
For me, the game started going downhill around Conqueror Lilias's release, alongside shit like Aravi's buff and Hwayoung. Instead of nerfing units, they kept trying to release counters, which led to even more oppressive units (Ran, Peira), or units that are dogshit outside of a specific niche (Taeyou, Yulha). Ironically, they ended up having to nerf Hwayoung, but they would never nerf a ML5 because of the shitstorm that would happen.
The game was really fun at release and I actually enjoyed the lore and worldbuilding, but now it's obvious they're leaning hard into the PvP and P2W aspect. I probably wouldn't have quit if the PvE aspect was still good, but it just became tedious grinding and autoing. I miss doing early Abyss stages with 3 stars and going through the labyrinth trying to get the shitty Attack set gear for my Vildred kek.
