I love how when I try searching for deer boys I just get a lot of Alastor who looks nothing like one. lol.

Antlers are just as cute as animal ears and I wish there were more art of boys with them. Deer boys are also great for innocent uke character when paired up with wolf or other predatory animal boys.

Cat, Dog, or Bunny?

Imo nothing beats a classic cat but athletic boys work better as dogs. My unpopular opinion is I don't care for rabbit ears.

For me, it depends on the personality of the character. I agree with cat ears being the best, they're a classic and I blame Loveless for making me obsessed, even as someone who loves dogs.
Bunnies are cute but I like more, let's say, compact ears; they look too long sometimes.
I do think your picrel looks the cutest with bunny ears tho, or maybe it's just the pose.

How do you feel about other type of animal ears, like mouse/hamster, tiger, bear, wolf, etc?

Mouse boys are cute! I love how rounded the ears are and wish there were more canon instances of it. Tiger and panther ears are also nice and usually look super velvety. I have no strong opinion on bear boys. Jaye from Arknights is the only character I can think of off the top of my head with that ear-type and they seem very nondescript, I don't even think I could name the animal if I didn't know.

I am obsessed with men who bear traits of animals despite being fully human. Popular examples are Ogata from Golden Kamuy (wild cat) and Ichikawa from NGWK (rat).
For Ogata it's the eyes, the behavior and poses as well as the whiskers-alluding scars that make him a "cat". His pupils can even narrow! And yet, he doesn't belong to a fantasy race.
For Ichikawa it's the :3 mouth, the big round ears, the round tip of the nose, mouse ears of hair, ear-hats and the eyes that allude to mice and rats.

Shit is incredibly rare so I doubt there is even a term for them and I guess they fall into the kemonomimi umbrella. I just wish it was more common. I especially like it if the men in question have no other cute traits, since I am a gap moe fag. Just grown-ass muscular combative dudes, but with cute animal traits!
