It still blows my mind that there was never a proper official english translation of the series because of Glenn fucking Danzig of all people. The only real silver lining about him having the publishing rights for the series was that we got some nice Simon Bisley art out of it. Spoilered for 3dpd but I just find the fact that Danzig is such a huge fan of Devilman that he got a massive tramp stamp funny as hell

Getting obsessed with big nosed men manga for the cuteness of a 70+ year old blood-draining tsundere villain was definitely not on my bingo card when I started Akagi in the late 00s but here we are.
I am glad that fkmt manga are popular enough to spawn spinoff series for the villains and that the fandoms for his big old hits are still alive, even 15 years later. Bless Fukumoto and his autism. That guy has a crazy talent for dramatic climaxes and infodumps that are actually interesting. Even the series that are solely about games never bore me for a second.

I admit I also find most of his characters very relatable, even though his series feel like they were written for middle aged men with midlife crises lmao

I read Kinnikuman Nisei and now I'm obsessed with Kevin Mask/Warsman.

I love the strong sense of loyalty that Warsman has towards the Robin family, I love how he's so clearly devoted to Kevin that Kevin allows him to become the person he trusts most in the world, I love how Kevin ends up carrying his broken mask everywhere because he wants him back so badly, I love the master/student of their relationship and how everyone decided that Kevin is so eager and strong-willed that he'd be the top despite the age gap.

(Brocken Jr/Jade is also top tier, but it has the issue of the two being inferior to Warsman and Kevin).

I thought the OVA was hilarious and adorable, with many irl lol moments. I'm a huge LangaReki fan (RekiLanga also okay) but I also love all of the other characters. Tadashi is hot.

I really dislike Adam's character but that scene of his and Langa's first race was so…hot. You don't get to see many moments like these.

Is he too over the top for you? You might like him more after they reveal his back story later though I'mhoping him and his secretary get more to do in the second season. Race between Adam and Langa was insane though. Peak sports shonen bs (now with more gay!)

Welp, Thunderbolt fantasy is officially over. Just watched the finale movie. I know the time loop ending with Shou was already set up previously but it was still wild as hell that he's just confirmed to be the time traveling child of his two best friends. Also my fujo heart soared when he and Rin had that final banter moment as they descended into the demon realm. All around I had a great time. I'll miss my puppets but I know all good things must come to an end.

I just finished the Bridon arc and woah the gayness between these two is off the charts, might as well be a BL at this point. I love LG's 'jealous' moments and CXS taking care of him when he was sick.

Also, is the Bridon arc part of the current (S2) timeline or not? I thought for sure it's an earlier loop but I've seen other people saying it's the same loop and I'm completely lost. How many times has LG looped anyway? I feel like it's atleast 3 but definitely not more than 10.
